October 6th was my birthday. I won't go into what year it is for me as that really is of no importance (and I really am not sure that I even want to SEE it in print.)
What is important to me is to tell you, "Thanks."
Thanks for all of the birthday well wishes I received on Facebook, mailed in, emailed in and phoned in.
Thanks for listening and allowing me the opportunity to have a few hours on the radio with you in the afternoons to share some music, thoughts and hopefully laughs.

I would ask you to view the NFL flyover video posted below. It just gave me chills.

After doing the pregame Pride of the Southland announcements for 12 years, I cxan tell you, there is NOTHING more chilling than the moment they fly over the stadium.
God bless our military and all they do to protect us.
My belief is that no matter your view on the war in Iraq etc. The SOLDIERS deserve our thanks and utmost respect. I, for one, am proud to support the brave men and women that preserve our freedoms.

Each year, identity theft affects more than 11 million people in North America. The scary thing is, in the majority of cases, the thief is someone you know. In fact, according to ABC News, a growing number of victims are like Larry Braziel, Jr. When he turned 19, he started getting phone calls from a collection agency, demanding money, all before he’d even applied for a credit card. Larry checked his credit report, and discovered he was more than $100,000 in debt, with half of that tied up in a home mortgage.

Oatmeal is a great choice because it’s quick to make and full of whole grains. It’s a perfect jolt of nutrition. Don’t forget the vegetables, including spinach!
