More than 1.7 million toy workshop and tool sets from toy-maker Little Tikes are being recalled because of choking concerns.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission says the play tool sets have oversized, plastic toy nails that might cause young children to choke.

The recall is an expansion of a 2009 recall of about 1.6 million workshop sets and trucks with the same toy nails. The new recall involves an additional 11 models.

We talk a lot about the economy and how there are a lot of people struggling to make ends meet. However, you might be like some American’s and unaffected by the economy and have no clue on what it’s like.

Ask yourself this question, could you live on $8 or $9 an hour?

A computer game called Spent gives you the opportunity to see what it would be like to walk in a poor person’s shoes.

The game starts with a choice: Would you like to be a server, a warehouse worker or a temp?

From there, the choices get more difficult.

Some 1.4-million packages of birth control pills are being recalled because of a packaging error. Qualitest Pharmaceuticals says women could unintentionally become pregnant after taking the affected oral contraceptives.

   According to CNN, some of the blisters inside the pillbox were rotated 180 degrees within the card, reversing the weekly tablet orientation. Because of this, the daily regimen may be incorrect and could leave women at risk for unwanted pregnancy.

The mood on the Metro North train is quite somber. There's no need

to guess what is running through the minds of these concrete jungle

commuters. Our first footstep on the platform of the train station

brings us eye to eye with one of those desperate "missing persons"

signs.

Over the past 10 years do you think you know everything about 9/11. We found this to be interesting.

New York magazine has devoted its current issue to the 10-year anniversary of the attacks, putting together an encyclopedic overview of some of the facts, figures, stories and events surrounding 9/11. Following are a few of them:

-) Only 1,629 of those killed in New York City, or about 60 percent, have been positively identified from the 21,817 remains that were recovered.

Before you pack a snack bar in your kid’s lunchbox, check the label. It’s not a big deal for most parents, but if your child is allergic to milk it could be.

Quaker Oats is recalling 8-count Quaker Chewy Smashbar Graham Pretzel snack bars because of an undeclared milk allergen. Those with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk products run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction. No other Quaker products are included in this recall.
