Benefit Singing

The Lee Valley Music Barn, 500 Lee Valley Road, Whitesburg, TN presents the annual Courtney Cemetery Benefit Singing Sat. Sept. 27 at 7:00 pm. Featured for this special event will be Harp Strings, Mountain Grace, The Brooks Family, and The English Family. All donations will go for the maintenance and upkeep of the cemetery. Fall used book sale

Friends of Sevier County Public Library System's fall used book sale is Monday, Sept. 15 through Saturday, Sept. 20 at King Family Library, 408 High Street, Sevierville. Fiction, non-fiction and children's books are all on sale, most for $1 or less. Vintage books will also be offered.

Monday from noon to 7 p.m. is preview time for Friends members and local teachers; memberships are available at the door. Tuesday through Saturday, the sale is offered during library hours of operation. Saturday is Bag Day, when $5 buys a bag full of books. Bags are provided.

Cup of Hope Tea Luncheon hosted by The Salvation Army

The Cup of Hope Tea Luncheon is a domestic violence awareness event that will coincide with Domestic Violence Awareness month and benefit The Salvation Army's Joy D. Baker Center. The luncheon will be on Wednesday, October 22 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Bradford Catered Events will be catering the event with a full service tea and lunch menu in the beautiful, fully remodeled Historic Southern Railway Station. WBIR-TV's Robin Wilhoit will be the emcee for the luncheon.

"Honoring Our Veterans" Exhibit

This June, the Farragut Folklife Museum opened a very special exhibit – “Honoring Our Veterans” – which features artifacts from various branches of the military and numerous wars, including the Korean War, Vietnam War, World War I and II, and Desert Storm. This exhibit will be on display through Veteran’s Day – Tuesday, Nov. 11.

Summer Long Vacation Bible School

Are You Ready To Have Fun With the SON?

Ridgedale Baptist Church is hosting a new style of VBS for children called Fun With the SON! This is not your typical VBS. Children will experience a variety of classes ranging from cooking, science, target shooting, arts and crafts, basketball, and missions.
