Homespun Holiday Show
A Laura Ingalls Wilder Christmas will be presented by The WordPlayers, in collaboration with The Arts at Pellissippi, at Clayton Performing Arts Center, Pellissippi State Community College, 10915 Hardin Valley Road, Knoxville, TN. The Farragut Beautification Committee will present the 21st annual Celebrate the Season on Thursday, Dec. 4 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Farragut Town Hall. The community is invited to enjoy the beautiful Town Hall holiday decorations, sample treats and enjoy the numerous activities and performances being offered.

The Lee Valley Music Barn, 500 Lee Valley Road, Whitesburg, TN, continues the 1st. Friday gospel concert series, Friday night Dec. 5, at 7:00 pm. Featured guests for December will be Nick Chandler & Delivered, from Weaverville, NC, a very popular bluegrass gospel band. The 7th annual candle light ceremony will be held on Saturday 12/6 in remembrance of children gone too soon. This is a time for parents, family, and friends to celebrate the lives of the children who have preceded them in death. The evening includes an invocation, poetry, music, and refreshments. Moms can also choose to participate in a Silly Santa gift exchange for a light-hearted atmosphere, a brief respite from the difficult journey that bereaved mothers endure each day. The Tennessee Theatre invites guests to a free Fall Festival Open House during First Friday from 6-8 p.m. on Nov. 7 offering music, snacks, history tours and fall fun!
The fall festival will include a caricature artist who will draw free portraits of attendees and the iconic theater marquee; apple cider and fall treats; music on the Mighty Wurlitzer organ; and free backstage tours of the Tennessee Theater led by theater historians. The tours will leave the lobby at 6:30, 7 and 7:30 p.m., with groups limited to 50 people per tour, so guests are encouraged to arrive early.

Renowned playwright and children's book author Lisa Soland will speak about overcoming insecurities and playing to your strengths in your writing at the next Knoxville Writers' Guild program.
