* 8 a.m.: 9/11 Remembrance Motorcycle Ride, World's Fair Park Amphitheater. Registration for the ride will begin at 8 a.m. Participants are asked to be seated by 10:15 a.m. for the ceremony. Army Brig. Gen. Jefforey Smith is the guest speaker and grand marshal for the event. The ride honors those who died in the attacks on 9/11. * 8:25 a.m.: 9/11 Remembrance Procession, Market Square. Bagpipers and a horse-drawn fire engine will lead a procession from Market Square to the 9/11 Memorial on the City County Building lawn. Knoxville Mayor Daniel Brown and Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett will escort Knoxville and Knox County families who lost loved ones on 9/11.

* 9 a.m. CDT: 2nd Annual Nashville 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, William R. Snodgrass Tennessee Tower in downtown Nashville. Firefighters from across the state, including Knox County, will climb 110 stories in remembrance of the 343 FDNY firefighters who died at the Twin Towers. It will also be a fundraiser for National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
