Farragut Open Art Show 2014 Call for Artists

The Farragut Arts Council will sponsor a juried art show and juried standard flower show – “Open Art Show 2014: ALCHEMY – The Magic of Art and Flowers” – in conjunction with the Dixie Highway Garden Club on Friday, May 16 and Saturday, May 17, 2014. Artwork and artist application and fee are due on Thursday, Jan. 9 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday, Jan. 10 from 8 a.m. to noon. No artwork and applications will be accepted prior to Jan. 9.

Entries will be juried on Saturday, Jan. 11 and will be available for pickup on Jan. 11 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Artists can submit as many entries as they wish at an entry fee of $5 per piece. Applications containing detailed information about the show are now available at www.townoffarragut.org/artsandculture and at the Farragut Town Hall.

The Open Art Show 2014 is intended to showcase exceptional work produced by artists throughout the region and is open to all artists of all media. Works of art are not limited on size, media or geographic location. The only restriction is that all work submitted must be original by the artist. Selected pieces of art will be displayed with floral arrangements. This juried show will feature awards in two- and three-dimensional art announced at an artists’ reception on Friday, May 16.
