The Main Danger of Memorial Day Weekend
A new study put out Wednesday by the National Coalition for Safer roads is warning us that THIS weekend could be more dangerous than any other holiday
The report found that more than 2.3 million drivers in 18 states ran a red light last year, and the number of runners missing the red light was more than 27% higher on Memorial Day weekend than on an average non-holiday weekend.

The study gathered data from 142 areas in 18 states showed there are it 1.2 red-light violations occurring every second.
The report also found that more red-light violations occurred on Friday between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.; 30.7% of the violations occurred in the afternoon.
