Thank A Teacher Week

Monday, Sept. 24 marks the beginning of THANK A TEACHER week in Knox County.  Dr. Jim McIntyre, Superintendent of the Knox County Schools, will be helping to celebrate by serving breakfast to the teachers at Whittle Springs Middle School (2700 on Monday at 7:15 a.m. in the school library.  Knox County Mayor Tim Burchett, Board of Education Chair Karen Carson, and Board Member Indya Kincannon (District 2) will also be participating.

Thank a Teacher week (Sept. 24-30) is an opportunity for the Knox County community to show how much we care about the work our teachers do each and every day.  The Knox County Schools is partnering with the Great Schools Partnership, KCEA, Knox County Council PTA, The Chamber of Commerce, United Way, Partners in Education and Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union for THANK A TEACHER week.
