Several consecutive years of extreme drought and high temperatures took a deadly toll on Tennessee's trees. This year's record rainfall has relieved a deep-rooted problem by replenishing an exhausted ground water supply.
According to a report from the Department of Justice, the percentage of
children in Tennessee juvenile centers who've been sexually victimized
is higher than the national average.
