A tax credit aimed at helping adoptive families pay off their bills has
turned into a headache for thousands of families and for the IRS, which
is accused of mishandling their tax returns.
Six months after state officials found multiple violations at a West
Tennessee compounding pharmacy but did not shut it down, the pharmacy is
the apparent source of infections in two states.
Hundreds showed up with heavy hearts to listen to local pastors offer
words of grief for the two men who died and prayers of support for the
two women who survived the shooting.
News of the fatal shooting in Bean Station Thursday spread quickly throughout East Tennessee's pharmacy community. It was a horrible reminder for some of the risks they take everyday working behind the counter.
