Critters such as insects, snakes, and spiders thrive in the more humid
weather. The populations have been down the last couple of years due to
the relatively dry weather.
The plans include construction of a new five-story building next to the
current facility and renovations within the current hospital once the
new building is complete, for a total price tag of about $75 million.
