Hosting Thanksgiving can be a literal chore. Lots of moving parts. Go ahead and make that list, then proceed to cross some things off that list for a stress free holiday!
Know what you need
Start a list of all the ingredients, tools and serving pieces you’ll need for each recipe—Everything from linens, dishes, glasses, serving platters, etc. Get it all together, or at least know where it is, so you can grab it when you need it.
Declutter
Might be a great time to declutter your kitchen drawers and cabinets. How many of ONE kitchen tool do you really need? Donate when you can, trash the rest. Same goes for pantry items
Shuffle your pantry items
Move the items you need to the spot easiest to reach
Clear the counters
You know you’ll want and need the most room possible on the holiday, so stash any appliances, ingredients, or decorative pieces that aren’t going to be part of your Thanksgiving prep somewhere else
Create a staging area
IF you have available counter space, try to group items that you’re using for each recipe together, a day in advance
Label your serving pieces
Place a sticky note on each bowl or platter with what you’re planning to put in it. That’ll make it easy for your helpers to plate the dishes in the last-minute rush to the table
