Malaysia’s July CPI rises 1.8% y/y, slightly less than forecast

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 17 (Reuters) – ​Malaysia’s ‌consumer price index rose ‌1.8% ​in ⁠July from ⁠a year earlier, government data ​showed on ⁠Monday.

The ⁠rise ​was slightly ​less than the ‌1.9% increase forecast ⁠by economists in a ⁠Reuters ‌poll.

The ⁠index rose ​1.9% ‌in ​June.
