Daylight Saving Time ends on November 1, so now is the time to prepare your body for the change. We set the clocks to “fall back” an hour and that means our body clocks will be confused, as will those for our kids and pets. Here’s how to slowly adjust for the change:
- Adjust dinner time for your family and pets slowly in 15 minute increments every couple of days. If you eat at 6 pm, by the time you’re done you’ll be eating at 7.
- Gradually shift wake up and bed times for kids and yourselves.
- Readjust bedtime rituals for the entire family.
- Prepare for colder and darker nights.
- Get ready to use the extra morning sun for a brisk walk.
