Here are this week’s “Pets of the Week”
Young-Williams Animal Shelter
Addy and Duck
Meet Addy!
5-year-old Addy is a sweet, affectionate girl who quickly wins people over with her playful personality and love of attention. She enjoys getting out to explore, rides well in the car, and has done well accompanying her people on adventures. After playtime, she’s just as happy to relax and soak up affection from her favorite humans. Addy is looking for a home where she can be the only dog so she can be the center of your world and thrive.
Meet Duck!
If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick with a big personality, 2-year-old Duck may be your perfect match. This handsome hound mix is friendly, gentle, goofy, and full of life. Like any true hound, Duck is quite the conversationalist and loves to “talk,” making him an entertaining companion who always has something to say. Treats are the way to Duck’s heart, and his food motivation can make training both fun and rewarding. Despite his enthusiasm, he does well on a leash and enjoys being out and about.

Marmee and Louie
Meet Marmee!
Marmee is a 5-year-old sweetheart with a heart as gentle as they come. This lovely girl isn’t much of a talker, but she has a quiet way of stealing your heart. She already knows how to sit for treats, patiently waits while you’re eating, and loves spending time with her favorite toys. More than anything, Marmee just wants to be near her people, soaking up love and companionship. For a dog who is so calm, kind, and affectionate, it’s hard to imagine the difficult start she had in life. Stop by to meet Marmee, and let us share her incredible story. We think you’ll fall in love just like we have.
Meet Louie!
Louie is a 1-year-old cutie who’s always ready for his next adventure! This lovable boy has quickly become a shelter favorite thanks to his happy personality, affectionate nature, and zest for life. Whether he’s exploring the outdoors, soaking up attention from his favorite people, or carrying around his beloved stuffed Lamb Chop toy, Louie finds joy in every moment. Louie’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. Rescued through Anderson County’s Slumdog Rescue, he arrived with a fractured femur, likely after being hit by a car. Thanks to the incredible team at Clinton Animal Hospital, he underwent surgery and is now back on all four legs and thriving. His story is a reminder that rescue truly takes a village from the veterinary team who repaired his leg, to the organizations that came together to give him a second chance. Now all Louie needs is the final piece of his happy ending: a loving family to call his own. Come meet this amazing boy, you just might find your new best friend!
